Power and freedom to the people

Power and freedom to the people. As it is our primary goal to ensure democracy in which the government is to be determined by people, fro the people and of the people, they choose the way they wish to be ruled.NAFODU has embarked on working with the government of Uganda to ensure democracy of the people aiming at a peaceful living.Much as the constitution of Uganda article 1 stresses democracy to the people, a big population of Uganda does not take part in decision making when it comes to that especially the poor and other marginalised groups. There is a common question in people's minds regarding the gap between the poor and the rich in which some people are living below the poverty level while others are very rich especially those in high positions of government partly because they embezzle funds, corruption is the order of the day, but in this we the president of Uganda H.E YK Museven trying to get rid of corruption but being let down by his cabinet for example the we see him in the NEWVISION Newspaper of Uganda suspending the PS, permanent secretary in ministry of Health Ms.Mary Nanono for misuse of pulic funds and many other reasons which all if catered for there would be development in general and not for specific people.Sh.10.9d was allocated for purchase of drugs at Mulago Hospital but instead only sh.2b was allocated for that and then the rest was spent on soap, cleaning agents and allowances as if they had not been catered for. It is against this and many other reasons which caused the PS to be suspended from the job. At NAFODU we aim at empowering common people to be responsible and get involved in participating in government activities especially attending budget reading in order to ensure proper allocation of funds to relevant posts.
